Demitre Ellis

Hi. I'm Demitre Ellis, mornings on Hawk Rawk 100.5. I moved to the area in 2019 after spending the first 21 years of my life in NW Wisconsin to join the LA Comm team!

Before I moved to the area, I played organ/piano at a few churches over the years and even directed a couple of choirs. In 2016 I was part of Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music and travelled Europe (7 countries in 14 days!). I was part of my high school show choir, concert choir, and band.

I started my life in radio when I attended Joe Casper's Radio One Broadcast School in La Crosse, WI in 2017 and got a job doing weekend overnights at WAXX-FM, Eau Claire in April of that year. From there, I was promoted to Promotions Director and Afternoon Drive Announcer at WIAL-FM in Eau Claire and was there until October of 2018. In October of 2019 I was offered the spot of noon-4 on Hawk Rawk, which was a brand new station at the time. I switched up time slots a couple of times over the next couple of years, mainly staying in the PM slot until September 0f 2023 when I obtained the Program Director position and joined Rachael B on the morning show!

At home, I like to play video games with my friends, and spend time with my loving fiancé Blake, our Red Heeler Koda, and our two diluted tortie cats Sophie and Stella!
